Need a Change!

When someone sees the same people everyday, they wind up becoming a part of that person's life. And then they want the person to change. If someone isn't what others want them to be, the others become angry. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own.

I think, we should start with the man in the mirror to find real happiness in our lives.

And it must put in place NOW. Its 1:30AM and I must rest to bed.

Have a smiling and dreamy Night... cause it is always the good one!

Love,

Gustakhi maaf....

Phir unhi raston mein aa gaye hain do-raahein

Phir goad mein uski so jaane ko jee chaahe

Phir unhi ungliyo ko thaam kar usne jaana

Wo moam ki tarah pighalta hai

Wo aarzoo ki tarah phisalta hai

Wo jaagte sapne dekhtaa hai

Aur sotey aahey bhartaa hai

Chehro mein dekhtaa hai woh usi ka chehra

Khwahishon par phir ye kaisa pehra?

Tum nahi hamaare, ye sach sheeshey saa saaf

Ek hi bahaana : Gustakhi maaf....

Beliefs...

Beliefs are the thoughtforms through which you create, interpret, and interect with reality. Beliefs create seperation between self and the universe (e.g. this is me. That is that. ).

Beliefs interpret and, within certain self-determined parameters, create the experiences that confirm the truth of what is believed (e.g Life is hard. ).

Beliefs create a cause-and-effect / effect-and-cause relationship between self and the physical universe (e.g. Because I believe...; I believe because...).

By managing beliefs, you have the power to restructure consciousness and create new realities.

humm... thoughtful...

Welcome back dearest ones! And a come back for myself.... Hope everyone is having a good time... and spending 100 grams life very wisely...! :)

So it comes back...

One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputteringwhen he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was those chills which only fear can put in you.

He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.'

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire.. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, 'And think of me.'

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan .

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: 'You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.'

Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard....

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, 'Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.'

There is an old saying 'What goes around comes around.'

Today, I sent you this story and I'm asking you to pass it on... Let this light shine.

Gone too soon!

Like a comet
Blazing 'cross the evening sky
Gone too soon

Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon

Shiny and sparkling
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night

Like the loss of sunlight
On a cloudy afternoon
Gone too soon

Like a castle
Built upon a sandy beach
Gone too soon

Like a perfect flower
That is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon

Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night

Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon

Gone too soon.......

I will miss you forever.... forever....

Determination

OK. Back to Post.

Humm... I don't know how clear I remember this story but I would love to share whatever I remember. I heard it long time back from Sr Bachchan himself  in one of his interviews or may be from his blog.

Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Amitabh's father and a famous poet of his time, used to go for a walk every morning. Before he departs for morning walk, he wakes up Amitabh. Amitabh, being an obedient son, wakes up on his first call but goes back to sleep the moment his dad leaves home for walk. He enjoys the 40 mins sleep before his dad returns home and pretends to be awake since his dad woke him up. I m sure, father knew about this cute habit of his son.

Anyway, that’s not the best part or the story which I wanted to share. There is something significant which used to take place everyday for continuous 3 months during Mr.Harivansh’s morning walk. There used to be a big stone on the way to his walk path. He thought it would look really good in the house garden and will be of some use instead of just lying on the road useless. The stone was too huge to lift by one person and it wasn’t a time where Mr Bachchan could afford to pay someone for such labour.

He decided to move the heavy stone an inch everyday. He continued doing so for constant 3 months and one day he brought the precious (now!) stone to the gate.

The stone is still there at Big B’s place which reminds him of the determination before he leaves home for work everyday.

Raincoat

Rakesh Patel

Gandhi spent all his life trying to find out what truth is. Even his biography’s title tag reads - Experiments with truths.

Love is sacrifice, it is giving, it is that exhale of breath which comes after seeing your loved one happy, it is the smile with sparking water in your eyes which comes by fulfilling what she wants. Love is wait. It is to conceive an idea to surprise her.

Love is eating food in the same dish. It is that feeling when you feed her with your hand. To me, to know love is to know a part of the truth of life.

Neeru and Manoj live in the same street, in a close neighborhood. They Grew up in poor families. Neeru loves to make fun of Manoj's serious nature and Manoj on the other hand finds his happiness seeing Neeru secretly through his room's window.

Neeru being from a typical poor Indian family knows her parents dreams and put them on top of everything. She agrees to marry a supposedly rich guy with a good job compared to Manoj who could not even afford to buy an engagement ring. It is needless to say love between two never dies after marriage. Practicality wins and Neeru follows her husband to Calcutta. Manoj never marry.

After six years, Manoj leaves to culcutta to meet his old college friend in the hope to borrow some money so that he can start a new business. Manoj, being not so educated himself takes help from the same friend and requests him to write one letter which he can show to some moneylender in Calcutta. Manoj couldn't resist to ask his friend to show him Neeru's home. He just wanted to see her once. In a rainy day, Manoj borrows his friend's RAINCOAT and leaves for Neeru's place.

They met after six long years. Those six years did not even create six inch of separation in their hearts. Neeru explains how she enjoys the comfort of the city and possess all the required things of the household. Manoj on the other side acts as good as Neeru and tells her how rich he is now and has everything that he ever wanted. When Neeru leaves to get some food for Manoj wearing the borrowed raincoat, Manoj finds out from her landlord that the big house with antiques and amenities everywhere is a rented home and how Neeru's husband is now jobless and mistreat her. Manoj gives all the money that he borrowed from his friend to the landlord. This would buy Neeru 3 months before she and her husband would get evicted from this house that they are renting. Neeru finds the letter in the raincoat which states the amount of money Manjo needs to start a small business and how poor Manjo really is. She keeps her most priced possession which happens to be all her jewelry in his raincoat's pocket. Both make this selfless sacrifice for the other without knowing that the other person also knows their reality.

Extended Transition

Rakesh Patel

As life doesn't exactly follow the footstep of your dreams, it doesn't easily turn the way you want it to direct. But to grab the opportunity and make it a beautiful path makes one successful.

Usually when opportunity comes, it can appear in a different form or can come from different direction than we usually expect. I guess, this is one of the tricks of opportunity. It has a sly habit of slipping in by the back door, and it often comes disguised in the form of misfortune or temporary defeat. Perhaps this is why so many fail to recognize it.

Since I knew this characteristic of opportunity, I just applied my "Never Say No" rule to my manager's word when he said - "Go and fix 10MW Pratt and Whitney machine. I don't know how you do it, I want it to run by this week" Since money wasn't an issue, My shoulders had some support. Anyways, I don't want to bore you people with the inside technical story of the Project. I will just tell you about the fun part.

The three genius Mr John Jodon, Ben Copper and Carlie Marinda was on the project and I was following them. As being fairly new to this machine and in total experience compared to these guys, I had more to learn than to fix.

Observant nature teaches you a lot. Turn your head around with this attitude and the head box ( brain ) will be full in few hours. Store it in your hard disk and turn your head again! I was more of observant and obedient. My work was from holding the torch to removing some extra complicated parts of the machine. Understanding the control system, circuits and troubleshooting the actual parts was fun. Finally, after 9 days of straight work, the machine looks happy and running smoothly.

Mr John Jodon is the dictionary of Pratt and whitney machine. He is the very first physical link of my very old dream "NASA". ( Will tell you more about it at a right time). Fun with work mainly involved the two countries - USA and Australia. John is from Texas. Me being an Indian and Carlie, filipino, was spice in the talk. It was more buddy vs mate. highway vs free way, walmart vs Kmart. weather its John's Ducati, his different range of cars or his wife and daughter, John exactly knew where funny was and never missed any chance to make his customers happy.

Remember opportunity never goes empty, if you don't become the host, someone else will.

dream on guys, its the best way to live your life.

Peace and love.

Transition

Rakesh Patel

Life obviously doesn't follow every footstep of the path you have dreamt of. But no one can deny the happy feeling of dreaming and creating such ways. The fun of planning and dreaming have their own space in life. Weather they come true or not, every dream is like a special child conceived by our heart and brain. I had dreamt of being an Engineer - Electronics and Communication Engineer, to be specific. I wombed that dream for four years in me and felt the taste of salty water rolling over my cheek the day I was announced professional electronics engineer by handling the most priced possessive Electronics degree. I loved electronics, fell in love with it at teenage and still get goose bumps when it comes across me.

But as I said, Life sometimes decides its own path. We have to follow it absolutely as a obedient follower. Making best out of the given path is the only way to show our courage towards life. Sometimes I feel professional life is as similar as our personal relationships (Gf-Bf types!). I am in love with electronics and living life as an electrical engineer. But as they say, "man ka ho toh accha, man ka na ho toh aur bhi accha". This doesn't mean that I have similar personal life. I am pretty happy with where I am and what I Have. The realisation of this transition occurred to me when I encounter my old girlfriend, my love, electronics during one of the training courses at my work. The small portion of digital signal processing turned me on. Felt like your love just touched your soul. I have no complain being an electrical engineer-after all this is my ex's cousin and the "Given one". But If i won't write about my love toward electronics engineering and the transition now, probably I never will.

The 18 months work as an electrical engineer has obviously made me the one. In addition, the 5 days Mechanical Diagnostic Course made me half mechanical engineer. It literally is vibrating transition. There was so much of Mechanical vibration analysis in the course. But it became bearable because of the glimpse of my lovely electronics in the course. So the transition has taken place- from Electronics to Electrical to bit of mechanical but I do miss and adore my ex girlfriend ;)...

Observation

Rakesh Patel

We all have seen moon. And we love it, but have you ever seen the site where moon is circled with 3-4 different colors arount it? Try observing after 1 or 2 am at night. Its mind-boggling. I have witness it couple of times before but could not capture it. Finally, with my priced possession, I take full advantage of capturing things that marks my mind.

(1. From my camera )

(2. For a better view, google is always there! )

(3. The phrase - "WHo will bell the cat" doenst hold truth now - Everything is possible - This was in my varandah btw... )

(6. Three wallabies (Mini kangaroos - For those who don't know about Wallaby - And they were you know where - Noh, Not in my varandah - I live in a residancial Area :) - This is common sight at the power station where I work )

(7. What is this? )

(8. what is this ? )

(9. This is what happens when you have so much money, lot of space and less people )

Alcohol - The ultimate tag

Rakesh Patel

To preserve gifts so dearly for years and years is totally a sign of the love to the person who has given you that gift. I am fortunate enough to have such people who thought I was worth giving gifts and I cherish this lovely feeling to keep those gifts safely with me and cherish the dizziness of falling into old memories of those moments. I have realized that there is this one gazillion dollar gift that we all have and somehow we are tend to forget to look after it. We ignore it and act stupid enough not to give importance to that precious gift. Our body is that gift. And the one who has given it is not unknown to anyone. Do you not love him? Do you think it is fair enough not to look after it and let it have a touch of filthy substance?

I don't want to get started on what alcohol does to people. Its a complete sign of weakness to conceived an idea of having fun by drinking an alcohol. To live in a misconception that alcohol will take the sadness away and bring ultimate happiness is so foolish. For a moment it might push your worry away but when it returns, I am jolly sure that the worry will not be lessen in amount or size. If the after effects of alcohol give you ultimate happiness please let me know where to buy such bottles. To ignore the importance of that gazillion dollar gift giver is the start of the idea of having alcohol. I hate those who drink it and for god sake don't come to me to convince that it is worth.

Animals & Humans

Many times I feel like saying something about animals to this world or at least to those who ignore animals in everyway they can! Every now and then, animal's activity catches my eyes somehow... I see innocence at its best in them. Not to mention other trait at their purest form such as emotions, care, selflessness and unconditional love. I guess those who dont think about them or love them miss exploring part of their own soul. I know by saying save tigers or save endangered animals, it would be borrowing the words from the world but seriously, I dont want to tell my kids that there used to be Tigers. An honest suggestion to the authorities - release the speices who are on the verge of extinction, let them breed and bring them back to zoo when they are in enough amount!

I was amazed to find that in thailand they train elephants to paint! I guess its extraordinory on the elephant part, their memory to remember colors and put them at right place. The painting goes for thousands of dollar and the money is used for Asian Elephant Art and Conservation project which runs since years! Cheers to this!

The Siberian Tiger - Critically Endangered

If we cant love them We can at least not do the following-

------

A farmer paid a fortune to buy a stallion. A month later, the horse got sick & the farmer called the vet.

"Your horse has a virus. Give it this medicine for 3 days. If it hasn't recovered by the 3rd day, we'll have to put it to sleep"

The Pig who was nearby overheard the conversation.

The farmer gave the horse the medicine on the 1st day, but it didn't get any better. The Pig approached the horse and said, "Courage, my friend. Get up"

On the 2nd day, the horse didn't get any better.

"Come on friend, get up or else you will die!!!!" warned the Pig

On the 3rd day, the armer gave the horse the medicine but to no avail. The vet arrived and said,

"I'm afraid we have to put him away, otherwise the virus might spread to the other horses."

The Pig heard this & quickly ran to the horse.

"Come on!!!!! The vet's arrived. It's now or never !!!!! Get up quickly. You can do it!!!!"

Suddenly, the horse jumped up and ran away

"It's a miracle!!!! We must celebrate," yelled the farmer.

"Let's have a feast. KILL THE PIG!!!!!!"

Sorry is not enough!

SORRY!

Sometime this word becomes less significance and less audible when the mistake is huge and you are guilty of it. In such occasions, I don't prefer to say sorry. I feel its not sufficient. Start the action opposite to the one which made you feel sorry. Yes, I am going to return to my blog after long pause - long enough to hear it loud!

Too many things were running up and down in my life. mostly down. I guess I still am not that good writer who can write about his low phase during the phase. I guess its hard. Once the low phase is over you can. So am I.

Missed to write on mother's day. I am one day late. But its ok, mom will forgive me.
Yes, Forgive. Forgiveness.

Did you ever think who is the one who forgives you the most?

Everytime I make a mistake and do the realization I ask forgiveness from god. And he smiles at me and says ok don't do it again! And I repeat the mistake. I again say sorry. He again forgives me. Everytime I make a mistake he forgives me. Until the realization becomes so strong that I stop repeating the mistake. And I go to him and thank him. Mother is the same. No matter how many time her special child makes a mistake, she forgives him. Teaches him not to repeat the mistake but forgives him.

Forgiveness is directly proportional to patience! ( the last sentence is sort of a sign of an engineer turning into blogger! ). To have these two in a good amount is hard. To have them 100% brings you close to god! and every mother has them for her child. This now proves that, god is really good at delegation power. He delegated his work to all the mothers of the world and that is how the phrase came "God made mothers because he could not be everywhere".

Yes, our mom is one creature who will always be there with her arms open weather you win or loose. With warm hug and moist of love in her eyes if you loose. But will be there!

So, those who are mom, Happy belated mothers day and those who are going to get this opportunity in future, happy mothers day in advance. You are very lucky being just next to god.

(Missed you so much mummy! )

EARTH HOUR

The WWF campaign ( Earth Hour )started in 2007 in Sydney as a kind of public statement on climate change.

Since then, Earth Hour has become a global movement, with more than 4,000 cities in 87 countries going dark for 60 minutes last year.

Clearly the main thrust of Earth Hour is to remind folks that we use a heck of a lot of energy to brighten offices, illuminate landmarks, and advertise Broadway hits—and all that energy consumption equals quite a few greenhouse gas emissions.

The Earth Hour begins on March 27, 2010 between 08:30 & 09:30 pm local time.

"Let's stand in darkness for one hour to ensure brightness in our future."

Join to Save Energy.

Please Make Sure that you are a part of this EVENT :) ... Even 5 or 10 mins will count... contribute and see how good it feels.

Let the winter, summer and monsoon start and end on time with no extra warming... Enjoy the breeze of moon light for an hour.. go for walk... share thoughts and ideas...

Its good to be deaf Sometimes!

A group of frogs were hopping contentedly through the woods, going about their froggy business, when two of them fell into a deep pit. All of the other frogs gathered around the pit to see what could be done to help their companions. When they saw how deep the pit was, they agreed that it was hopeless and told the two frogs in the pit that they should prepare themselves for their fate, because they were as good as dead.

Unwilling to accept this terrible fate, the two frogs began to jump with all of their might. Some of the frogs shouted into the pit that it was hopeless, and that the two frogs wouldn't be in that situation if they had been more careful, more obedient to the froggy rules, and more responsible. The other frogs continued sorrowfully shouting that they should save their energy and give up, since they were already as good as dead.

The two frogs continued jumping with all their might, and after several hours of this, were quite weary. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to the calls of his fellow frogs. Exhausted, he quietly resolved himself to his fate, lay down at the bottom of the pit, and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could, although his body was wracked with pain and he was quite exhausted. Once again, his companions began yelling for him to accept his fate, stop the pain and just die. The weary frog jumped harder and harder and, wonder of wonders, finally leaped so high that he sprang from the pit.

Amazed, the other frogs celebrated his freedom and then gathering around him asked, "Why did you continue jumping when we told you it was impossible?"

The astonished frog explained to them that he was deaf, and as he saw their gestures and shouting, he thought they were cheering him on. What he had perceived as encouragement inspired him to try harder and to succeed against all odds.

This simple story contains a powerful lesson. The book of Proverbs says, "There is death and life in the power of the tongue". Your encouraging words can lift someone up and help them make it through the day. Your destructive words can cause deep wounds; they may be the weapons that destroy someone's desire to continue trying - or even their life. Your destructive, careless word can diminish someone in the eyes of others, destroy their influence and have a lasting impact on the way others respond to them. Be careful what you say.

Speak life to (and about) those who cross your path. There is enormous power in words. If you have words of kindness, praise or encouragement - speak them now to, and about, others. Listen to your heart and respond. Someone, somewhere, is waiting for your words...

Choose to have a good day ~

Love,

Rakesh

The thongs !

Normally my weekend doesnt bring any surprises or exciting things. It is generally covered with a normal household work ( Which is not most of the guy's choice ), surfing, chatting or going for a movie! Sometimes, my enthusiastic mind reminds me of doing some productive work and thats when I pick up my camera or guitar, lately I would say some study.

This weekend, something tragic happened. Althought I have seen people or things getting seperated, I never got a chance to capture it, except for today. OK dont get so serious. The following photo tour wont bore you. Its near the place where I live.

I was trying to focus sun! ( does this looks good though? )

Thats Nightcliff Jetty, 200-250 meters long, Good place for Fishing and hangouts at night.

Thats when the traggic seperation took place. One of my thongs ( Footware, Dont get another idea!) fell into the deep water, leaving its other half alone and
making my life misrable!)

Just to prove - thas me n the thong is mine....

This whole thing became such a big scene and everyone joined in the mission of getting my slipper back. One lady said, I live nearby and come for a walk everyday. If I see it on the seasore, I will keep it there ( The pointed place). The other guy tried to hook it with fisher-rode but could not get it ( I guess my thong was as smart as me, doesnt fall into hook easily - Kidding m the easiest fish! ). So finally one brave heart came up. Follows:

An aboriginal drunken guy jumped in to rescue my "chappal". Its amazing how one gets so large hearted and brave when he is drunk! I guess alcohol has thing thing to shrink brain and expand heart! ( And damage lever! ).
Anyway, His large heart wasn't sufficient to get two thongs togather. He gave
up, but look what he has got for himself. Follows:

So I have learned again, If you plunge in something for better cause, You always get something in return! ( But make sure you are drunk! )

oh ya! and THE HANDSOME GUY - The end of the story should always be good, isnt it?

Cheers~

The places of Thoughts!

Now not many people read my blog, but whoever reads them, I need little interaction from them!

Since this is the place where I talk in complete sanity or I get insane, this time I am about to get bit insane.

Can you think and tell me which places do you get most thoughtful thoughts?

To make this task bit easier, I will start with myself.

The places where I get thoughtful thoughts are:

1. In the plane
2. while Driving
3. In the toilet (during short visit, during long visit, during shower)
4. In my dreams
5. In the bed before I go to sleep

If your places are same as mine, just say ditto in the comment! ;). The cause can be an incident too. You are welcomed to share such incidents and its outcome!

Love in sanity & insanity ~

Its very important to sit down, ponder and be your own critics.
To feel contented with learning is the end of enthusiasm and so does the end of life.

An Aeroplane!

eeeeee see that... awhhhh! mummmmmy aeroplane! helloooooo! Hiiiii~! can you hear me? oyyeee! hey its gone! can u see it? where is it where is it? ahhhh... ya ya ya.. there ... ya i can see it... ahh behind that cloud? this side.. yea.. yea its so tiny yar! ahh gone.. hehe...

These used to be my expression during my childhood whenever I saw an aeroplane! n always asked my father, when we will fly in it dad? N later when i grew bit older, expression did not change much except the last line! - "One day I will fly in it!".

Yea, the day came on 28th Feb, 2006. My first aeroplane trip from vadodara to Bombay at 7pm. It was "jet airways" which took about 40 mins to reach to the destination. The inside of aeroplane was bit disappointing or probably my expectation were too high. The seats and the space wasn't much larger than an AC bus except the seat belt (I had never used seat belts before then). The only exciting part was an urge to talk with beautiful air hostesses. I did talk and it was as expected - soft polite with more than required courtesy. It feels good though. All of the materialistic excitement was overtaken by emotions as the plane flew and my nerve made me realised that "that is it!" This is it! I flew, I cant go back now! I was staring at the land which kept going far and far. The building started becoming small... the bikes, cars and trees were loosing site. The roads were transforming into lines... soon white clouds took over it and it was the different world! I was flying over clouds! there is this gigantic area above our so called clouds! clear, clean and blue.. It feels like we are on the ocen of cloud!

The scenery stayed almost same after that and it became boring which made my head turn back to the interior of the aeroplane which wasn't so exciting as I said ( except u know what! ). An urge to show off to everyone how smart I looked then (well I travel by planes now! isn't it big? My thought then ), I stood off to go to loo. Starting from opening the lavatory door till flushing the toilet, it was all so tough to figure out. Thank god I only pissed and did not do the other thing which takes longer time! I am sure I would have been in trouble if i would have done that! ( Many things happen first time in life, nothing to be ashamed of). Anyway, I figured all out and felt proud and went back to seat and the announcement was made to fasten seat belt as we were about to arrive Bombay! The exit with "good day" greetings was lovely!

It wasn't too late until I found out that the plane's interiors could be interesting when I got into my next International flight with "quntas" at 11:30pm the same night. (It was thrusday I guess). My expectation wasn't too high with an aeroplane I realised! The tyres were almost 5 feet tall and the wings were too lengthy where 20 people can easily sit. The interior was much more spacious with small TV infront of ur seat and headph and remote control to operate the machines which were suppose to entertain you throughout your journey. First 5-10 mins went into figuring out the remote and its functionality. It followed by the greetings from captain and instructions from extremely beautiful white polished, extremely well figured air hostesses. The standard had already uplifted there too! really there was much more to see I realised! And the "fasted your seat belt" thing and zoooooom supremely high speed and I flew again. At night mumbai looks awesome. While looking at the bottom from my requested window seat, I remembered few scenes from Hindi movies where they show large slum area and the long half circled road near some beach with lots of light! The fascination stayed packed with the dinner in the aeroplane! Too difficult to manage to look that you are familiar with the use of knives and forks and foreign style eating! I cornered one of my eyes to look at the lady sitting besides me which was completely unaware of how to use this cutlery which made me feel superior and I finished my first plane meal. The journey was of about 12:30 hours to Sydney ( The dream destination was only 11:30 hrs away, I realised after feeding my tummy! ) It wasn't too late until i thought of applying my recently learned skills about using the aeroplane loo ( Also I had eaten a lot then and natural call was on wait! ). It was pretty much similar so I felt comfortable and did the thing which usually takes longer than pee. Back to seat, to window, to small TV screen, to remote, to the uneducated lady, to the hot air hostess, to the air-cone adjustable button, to light switch, to water bottle and finally rested to my emotions and thought of the people i just left. My family, friends and everyone back at home ( Home is India now! The broader view! ) I cant remember what was I thinking then! It was so emotional.

Arrwghh...Got disturbed by a ph call!

Ok part 2 to come soon ~

cheers for now....

A special day....

26th January, 2010. Home, Nightcliff 3:00pm

It doesn’t happen normally... Yesterday morning when I woke up, I was murmuring a very familiar song - "Kar chale hum fida...” After coming to total consciousness, I realised that the date was 25th January, the day before 26th January – “The Republic Day” of India – the place where I belong ( Such a proud smile comes everytime I say this! ). This day is a very special for every Indian. The day when India has written her own constitute. It was a happy moment for me to realise that the next day is 26th, January. But the surprising element was to remember it suddenly on the same day. In Australia we are to have Public holiday on this day being an Australia day (Kind of Coincidence) - The day when land of this biggest continent was found by Captain James cook in 1788. Anyway, the surprising element made me think... how does a human body perform such task? Is it what we call a body cycle? At certain time or after certain period, human body reacts in a similar fashion when encounters a similar situation that it has withstand earlier or couple of times before. Like we get hungry, or feel sleepy after certain period. Apart from these natural body cycles, I think there is also something called “emotional body cycle”. Our body feels that vibes and emotions on the completion or starting of such cycles.

For every Indian, 26th January has this proud feelings attached to it. We officially remember those who have given their lives to make this country independent. I also used to do the same and I still do. I like this feeling. Today when I am away from my country, it reminds me the time I spent on this day every year. The school days were the best. To take part in dramas, song performances and parade, practicing for them for days at school after school hours or at friend’s place. The bonding and fun part of such practices is marvellous. To reach school early to dress up for your very special event and to feel the blood running faster in your body as make-up and costume takes its place. Excitement fills your heart until you go on the floor. The gathering of all the participants at the refinery stadium where the final ceremony has to take place makes you feel warm in the cold morning. The event start with the national anthem as our flag takes the proud salute of every Indian. It follows with a traditional parade which plays the tune of the song “sare jahan se accha..”on their band. It proceeds with different events from both the schools, Gujarati medium and English medium and we wait for our turn as sun starts burning and sweat drops start coming to our necks. All ends with lots of enthusiasm around 11am and the best part comes after that - The Food packets for the participants which contain 1 banana, potato chips, laddu, 3-4 different types of sweets, lots of chocolates, and balloons... (wow.. some memories are everlasting. I still can visualise it)! To find parents after the event from the front raw and finishing half of the food packet while returning back home. Humm.... those days were just amazing.... same as these days when I am capable of remembering them and writing them down and feelings the same sentiment once again...

Happy republic day guys! :)
