A journey with abundance of learning...

A journey with abundance of learning

“Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is the change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the idea of living” – Marry Ritter Beard

Recently, I have visited three different cities of the country I live in. The journey was aimed for my business purpose, however, the ever active consciousness observed many things that went around during the journey. I am not going to talk even a bit about business and dare to bore you! – I will keep that for some other day ;). I am more interested in sharing the experience that is far more important in the idea of living.

I travelled with two of my best friends. The most interesting part of three of us is that, our thought frequencies matches in amplitude and at times resonates and creates impulse of happiness and creativity!

#

The first flight was from Darwin to Sydney. The 4 hours and 20 mins of the time was a good space to do some reading and share the learning with each other. It was great fun.

The Virgin Australia Airline had beautiful and fun staff. In spite of crazy time-schedule, they always wear a smile and stays at great energy. we decided to add some more happiness to one of the air-hostess as she deserved it and passed one small hand written note to her that reads something like this, it was a combined effort which worked wonders!

The after effect of making her day was joyful. I believe, the shortest way to be happy is to make someone else happy! She looked after me more than anyone else (I would like to believe so! J ) and her eyes sparkled with every smile after that!

We travelled Sydney, then to Melbourne and Brisbane and back to Darwin.

#

The fourth flight was from Brisbane to Darwin. On the adjacent 3 seat raw, I saw two adults sitting. One of them was constantly telling the other that he doesn’t want to get someone he would not prefer to seat with in the next seat. Guess what happened?

To his surprise, in the remaining third seat, he gets a really big fellow who had a different cultural background. From the adult’s facial expression, I could figure out that he was not happy at all.

What did just happen there? Was it a co-incidence? Did the law of attraction worked? Or the power of spoken words? He was constantly saying what he did not want  rather than focusing on what he wanted and as a result attracted what he was speaking and focused on!

For this flight, we had not booked our meal with the tickets. While the flight staff lady was serving meals to passengers, we hoped, there were some complimentary meal and drinks like other Virgin Australia’s flights had! However, we were not sure. So, instead of speculating, I started visualizing that I am actually enjoying the meal.

The serving staff came close to our seat and just asked if we wanted to buy anything as we were not in their pre-ordered meal list. I asked politely, if there is any complimentary meal – the answer was, No sir, sorry about that!

Just after two mins, a lady walks up to my seat with a big meal and said – one gentleman of their staff asked her to give this complimentary meal to me. (I was like wow…!). I said, umm but my friends? She went back inside and got three mealsJ. It was very kind behavior! I wondered if this was an example of the power of visualization and instant manifestation!

We decided to do something for her in return. – “What goes around, comes around”

Rijesh is an artist. He makes amazing pencil art in a short time. This was the time to utilize that skill. We found an empty white paper and Rijesh created something like this,

We presented this to her. She was extremely happy and said she will frame this and cherish for long time. She extended gratitude and lots of love. Not only that, we got lots of sweet lollies in return! Sharing love and making someone happy is the most powerful and wonderful thing! World needs more of it!

Way of the Peaceful Warrior!

" Learn a new Language and get a new Soul " - Czech Proverb

I have been contemplating over this proverb for some time now. The human language is more than just a vehicle of carrying thoughts. It is really a representation of  belief print, a mind set or a culture of a particular community using that language. Understanding a new language can give you different perspective about life. For example in west part of the world, using English, one may say " I am angry " identifying themselves with the emotion whereas in east part of the world, using Hindi, one may say " मुझे गुस्सा आ गया ! " means "anger came to me" as if that emotion is just a passing visitor and not the identification of yourself. My true self is different from my emotions. Language reflects the life view. Learning new language can teach you different perspective about life.

Sharing a poem I penned down during one of those contemplating times of life.

What is your Excuse?

Somebody said that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Somebody scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it;”
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat
And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
      Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure,
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
      Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing
That “cannot be done,” and you’ll do it.

by Edgar Guest written in 1914.

If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done. - Bruce Lee
